FreakDown is a 5 day gathering, beginning Thursday evening and ending Monday morning. Each day will have opportunities for unique surprises, a full schedule of entertainment and workshops.

There will also be cozy hangout zones, fun games, campfire songs, witchy projects, creative adventures and who knows what else!

FreakDown started in 2008 with a small group of close friends. It has evolved over the years and grown to 200-300 participants but maintains the core connection points of creative exploration, play, and community. FreakDown is part festival, part summer camp, part party in the woods. 

The 5 day event is an experience of whimsical play, mind-bending quests, family-forward activities, nourishing food and world-class entertainment. Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of programmed and scheduled activities which participants can opt in to; there are limitless ways to engage! You can play in one of our immersive spaces, take a workshop, perform in the beloved variety show, dance your ass off, trade clothes at the boutique, and spend time in the river. It is a space to explore creativity, connect and play together, and build community in ways that stretch far beyond the event. 

FreakDown is more than just a festival in the woods, so we ask everyone to be present the entire weekend so that we can build a strong and supportive community together.
